When Curtis Sandbek was 16 years old, he walked into a bank in Bel Air, Maryland and opened his first bank account. That bank would eventually become FNB. Over the years, Curtis started several businesses and, through it all, FNB was there to help with financing. The way they showed an interest in his business and nurtured their relationship with Curtis stood out to him. No other bank had done that.
Fast forward a few decades and Curtis and his son, Taylor, embarked on their dream of starting a dealership in Virginia. Taylor had years of experience working as a buyer for CarMax and Curtis brought his years of business experience to the table. In 2016, Truck World RVA was established in Oilville, Virginia. After a few years of growing pains, Taylor saw a need and honed in on commercial truck sales, specializing in hard-to-find trucks like crane trucks, mechanics trucks, and utility trucks. With Taylor’s impeccable buying experience, they were able to carve out a niche for themselves, selling inventory that very few people around the country carry.
It was always a dream of the Sandbeks to own their own property instead of renting. In 2021, they decided to make it happen. Taylor’s father-in-law recommended they reach out to Dennis Wagner. It wasn’t until Curtis began speaking with him that he realized Dennis was a part of FNB – the bank he had such a great experience with for so many years in Maryland.
Curtis knew from past experiences how arduous the buying process could be and instantly felt comfortable that Dennis Wagner would be able to get the deal done.
