Don Maines started at Triad Precision Products 30 years ago. He gained experience running a milling machine, and slowly transitioned into the office where he was responsible for sales and drafting. Ultimately in 2014, he became the general manager of the company. The goal was always for Don to take over the business and buy out the current owner. Once they were both at a point where they were prepared to take that step, Don reached out to a Commercial Banker at FNB that made the introduction to one of our experienced Business Development Officers. He was able to structure an SBA 7(a) loan to help Don achieve financing to move forward with the Partner Buyout. Don felt that the SBA loan program had the terms he was looking for and also allowed him to put less money down.
