Located on the East Side of Cleveland, Ohio, The Wembley Club offers pickleball, tennis, swimming, fitness classes and personal training to its members. As a member of The Wembley Club, you can expect to be greeted by a welcoming community, in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
Dave Barr, owner of The Wembley Club, received his business degree from the University of Michigan before becoming an entrepreneur. Having previously owned other businesses, including a brokerage firm, he was excited to purchase the club seven years ago.
As the business continued to grow, Dave decided it was time to improve the facility stating that he “wanted a facility that truly matched the incredible team we have on staff.”
In 2021, he was ready to make the improvements he envisioned and went to his local FNB branch to start the process. He was connected with Tim Carson, our SBA Business Development Officer, and they started discussing financing options.
Tim was able to structure an SBA 504 loan that allowed Dave to not only refinance debt he had from a previous project but to expand the current facility. Through this loan, they were able to build a new yoga studio and gym, among other enhancements.
